How to get an Ohio medical card online?

Currently, 15 states have legalized adult medical and recreational marijuana use, and when a state legalizes recreational marijuana use, people tend to cease getting their medical marijuana card in Ohio. Cannabis users who do not receive an mmj card, on the other hand, miss out on the many benefits, including lower prices, the option to buy larger quantities, differing age restrictions, and additional legal protection. The cards are issued by the state, but the patient must first get a signed recommendation from a licensed physician to qualify. The details of how to obtain an MMID and what it entails will differ based on the laws and rules of each state.

In this article, we will discuss how you can get an Ohio medical card online

Do You Qualify for a Medical Cannabis Card in Ohio?

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or a minor with an adult
  • caregiver and physician certification).
  • A lawful inhabitant of Ohio who can prove it.
  • One of the qualifying conditions has been diagnosed.
  • A certified to recommend (CTR) Ohio physician who has diagnosed you with a qualifying ailment has recommended you for medical marijuana.

Applying for a medical card

Step 1 — Visit a Certified MMJ Doctor

Request a medical marijuana recommendation from a CTR physician. A valid form of identification (such as an Ohio driver’s license, a state ID, or a United States passport) is necessary. Once they’ve confirmed that you have a qualifying condition, they’ll create your profile in the Patient and Caregiver Registry.

Step 2 — Click on the Patient Registry Link in Your Email

You should receive an email with a link to the Patient Registry’s activation page, where you can create an account. Your account activation link will be activated for 90 days. However, you can only click on it once. After that, go to the Ohio Medical Marijuana Registry’s sign-in portal.

Step 3 — Register at the OHMM Portal

All patients and caregivers must register with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Because your email will function as your login, all you need to do now is create a password and select your time zone. After that, finish the application on your patient profile. You’ll be able to log in to the Patient Registry Portal whenever you want after that.

Step 4 — Pay for Your Patient ID

Once you’ve enrolled, pay the $50 annual patient fee for your Ohio medical marijuana card (indigent and veteran patients may be eligible for discounts). You can go to a dispensary and buy medicinal marijuana once you’ve acquired your card.
